Painting with Coffee and Tea

Caffeinated Color

"Painting with coffee and tea is like cooking. I'm always discovering something new in the process and the medium is always evolving. It's always challenging and I'm never bored."

The Process

Art brewed from the cup

Every painting in the Caffeinated Color series is created using real coffee, tea, and botanical materials — rooibos, hibiscus, clitoria ternatea, calendula, matcha, chicory, and more. These aren't stains or accidents; they're carefully layered washes, grounds, and papers built up over time to create rich, luminous color.

The medium is always evolving. Each brew behaves differently depending on concentration, temperature, and substrate — which means every painting is a discovery.
